NEOSHO DISTRICT

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF SCOUTING

Earn 100 Points in the 100th  Year

 

SCOPE: To encourage all Neosho district members and units to be as active as possible in scouting events (unit, district, council and national) throughout the centennial year

 

ELGIBILITY:  All Registered members of Neosho District (Youth and Adult) plus family members and friends.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Earn 100 points between June 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010.

 

POINTS ACREDITATION:  Each Scout will be responsible to insure his point total is accurately kept.  Den Leaders, Cubmasters and Scoutmasters will review each scouts totals and submit requests for patches to Neosho District Special Events Director, Donna Quinn dmquinn@suddenlink.net.

 

POINTS ACCOUNTING:

 

UNIT EVENTS (I.E. Den/Pack Meeting,  Troop Meeting,  etc.)  2 points

 

UNIT SPECIAL EVENTS:  (I.E.  Campout, OA Chapter Meeting, Parades etc.)   3 pts

 

DISTRICT AND COUNCIL EVENTS: (I.E.  Fall Festival, Summer Camp) 4 points

 

NATIONAL EVENTS:  (N.O.A.C., Jamboree, etc)  5 points

 

RECURITING:  For each new scout recruited  6 points

 

POPCORN SALES:  For each 100 dollars in sales   1 point.

 

SERVICE:  (Service Projects, Good turn for America etc.) 1 point per hour

 

The events mentioned above are only examples of events that could be used for this award.  All scouting events are to be counted.  In the case of multiple day events such as campouts each day will be worth the point value.  Example 3 day campout will total 12 points.  All Order of the Arrow events will be tabulated in the same way other scouting events are tabulated based upon chapter or lodge events.  All members that are on staff for any district or council event will double the point value for that event
