Training:

Training is a vital part of program delivery - it insures that both appropriate activities and quality are maintained and delivers program elements within scouting guidelines. This in-turn delivers the correct program and one that the participants expect, as well as giving leaders betters skills, tools and knowledge of how to achieve that. The more effective leaders are in delivering the program the more comfortable they are as a leader and the more the boys get out of the program: that keeps and attracts boys to and in the program.

Training courses are sometimes provided at a District level and sometimes on a Council wide level. As a registered leader you may take any course being delivered at anytime that you can attend regardless of the sponsor - if you can't make one in your area look at dates being offered in other Districts. Check each of the respective sites for your Scouting role.

Online Training:

These courses can help adult leaders deliver quality Scouting experiences to youth. A log-in is required; however anyone may create a user account and view the courses. Registered members of the BSA may provide their member numbers (as part of the user profile) to receive credit.
